Comment from the IBN: The IBN has long advocated the use of building materials that require little energy for production and transportation. The current energy crisis highlights what has long been ignored. It is high time to turn to sustainable alternatives!
Why don’t we make greater use of natural building materials, such as clay and stone, as well as renewable resources, such as wood, straw, and hemp? These materials are not only more environmentally friendly, but also more sustainable.
