Clay heating panels replace radiators in old buildings

These panels combine fiberboard interior insulation with clay heating panels that meet historic preservation requirements and can reduce energy demand to under 115 kWh/m²a.

Due to the high proportion of radiant heat provided by wall and ceiling heating systems, a lower indoor air temperature than usual is sufficient. To achieve a perceived thermal comfort level of 21°C (70°F), the actual air temperature only needs to be 18°C (65°F).
