Start with trees, give them time, and voila! you can create useful, constantly transforming structures, such as bridges, walkways, and towers. This method of building with living plants is called “living plant construction.” Published in conjunction with an exhibition at the TUM Architecture Museum in Munich, this book represents a significant shift from designing objects to designing processes. It explores the relationship between trees, architecture, urban spaces, modernism, politics, feminism, and cultural history from various perspectives.
